Ubuntu 8.04 Release Party

That's right our second release party and our first as a official Ubuntu LoCo.
Where: Flying Star Acequia De Corrales 10700 Corrales Road
When: Friday 4/25/08 at 6:30pm till 9:00pm clickhere for directions.

This year we are doing it in style and have a room reserved, if you would like to contribute to the room rent please contact Eric Krieger and let him know. And thanks to Eric for getting this all organized.

4/25/2008 The Night of the New Mexico LoCo Hardy Heron Release Party

The New Mexico Ubuntu LoCo would like to thank everyone that joined us for the release of Ubuntu 8.04. We would also like to thank all the New Mexico LoCo members that helped with the party. Members donated money (We owe you big time Eric), time, and supplies and those people just rock!

The night started off busy with a large group of students from ITT coming by to check this Linux stuff out.

The guys from ITT got the flat screen to work, they really made the party asked lots of questions and jumped right in.

Ubuntu never looked so good.

The room we had at Flying Star was great Tea, Coffee, and Softdrinks right in the room.

It was standing room only....fantastic!

We even had a door prize, this lucky man gets to show his Ubuntu pride.

A huge giant Thank you to Eric and Nicole. Eric made this party possible he makes our users group shine.
