Checklist

  1. Por favor, RESPALDA toda tu información importante antes de comenzar. No asumas que Ubuntu GNOME lo hará por tí en forma automática.

  2. El instalador de la versión de Escritorio requiere al menos de 1 GB de Ram para funcionar correctamente.

  3. Revisa el sitio MD5SUM (Inglés) para obtener el MD5SUM del ISO descargado. Deberás compararlo con el original en Ubuntu Hashes (Inglés) para validar la calidad del archivo.

  4. Graba (Inglés) el ISO en un DVD (El tamaño del ISO es mayor a 700MB) o mejor, crea un disco USB boteable usando UNetbootin (Inglés)(Recomendado) o la herramienta por defecto de tu distribución.

  5. Revisa el disco USB o el DVD para encontrar posibles errores. Lo puedes hacer cuando inicies el sistema desde el instalador, en la opción "Revisa errores en el disco".

  6. Por favor leer las notas de la versión antes de decargar Ubuntu GNOME.

  7. Si tienes un PC con el logo de Windows 8 o con un firmware UEFI, debes elegir descargar la versión de 64-bit Más Información (Inglés).

Por favor, usa el link torrent para descargar via P2P, con BitTorrent (Inglés), será una descarga más rápida y nos ahorrará costos de ancho de banda en los servidores de Canonical, lo que significa más presupuesto para todos los sabores de Ubuntu. Por favor, deja el cliente abierto lo más que puedas para ayudar a otros a descargar.
