Canonical announces first partners to ship Ubuntu phones around the globe

Canonical announces the signing of agreements with mobile device manufacturers bq and Meizu to bring Ubuntu smartphones to consumers globally. Canonical says it is working to ship the first Ubuntu devices on the latest hardware in 2014, and devices will be available to buy online through bq, Meizu, and at Ubuntu.com.

Marco Trevisan gives us an update from the Unity desktop team, on upcoming features, applications and Locally Integrated Menus (LIM). Marco shows us some screenshots of LIMs in use and tells us that although that LIM settings can be customized, the use of the default settings is recommended.
