I love to design attractive HIG compliant GUI interfaces and make them work seemlessly. I'm obsessed with GUI attractiveness and functionality, I try to learn the designs from Mac OSX, Windows Vista, and other OS's. But a too contemporary GUI design turn me off, KDE got lot's of things that a user don't really need. So it did. It communicates right into my soul and it was love at first sight.

I love nature, plants, minimalistic contemporary architectures. Alot of those things really affect my software design. I learned computers quite differently, It is my older brother's computer and he don't like anyone to use it.
I was sneeking, hiding, reading books at the dark, afraid that he would awake, and if he did, it would be a big consequence.
I risk myself of getting beaten and hurt just to learn computers.

Introduction

I love GTK+ programming, and very enthusiastic about GNOME and Linux. I like solving problems, and providing software solutions to make life in linux easy.

I love to design attractive HIG compliant GUI interfaces and make them work seemlessly. I'm obsessed with GUI attractiveness and functionality, I try to learn the designs from Mac OSX, Windows Vista, and other OS's.

Now my focus is Asterisk VoIP and Web Applications using Python and Ruby on Rails.

My latest involvement in Linux as of 2009 are:

  • - Charozt Asterisk Music-on-Hold tool - 8ix Zenith CE Linux - Kahel OS

Involvement with Computers

When I first saw a computer, I knew instantly that it would be my true friend that I feel it would talk to me. So it did. It communicates right into my soul and it was love at first sight.

I learned computers quite differently, It is my older brother's computer and he don't like anyone to use it. I was sneeking, hiding, reading books at the dark, afraid that he would awake, and if he did, it would be a big consequence. I risk myself of getting beaten and hurt just to learn computers.

I had to make a deal with him he can't refuse, so I trade my Nintendo for a 2400bps modem to someone to connect to BBS back in 1994 and later in 1996 the Internet.

At that time, I was secretly installing slackware Linux into his hard drive in a partition and using a floppy to boot it. Bash prompt instantly became a euphoria for me like a drug addiction.

Until my brother notices that the free space in his 545MB hard disk is shrinking, I told him it was Microsoft Office eating up his space, then Windows 95 came out, he had a copy and installed it, he soon find out about the partition and totally banned me from using the computer.

In 2 years, I had to resolved my hunger for learning, I go to farthest places searching for somebody who want their computer to be fixed and boot my floppy linux. I was 12 and I was travelling 100 of kilometers by bus just to use a computer, not even the pouring rain in me all soaking wet stopped me.

It was then when my dad bought a second computer, that I have to stop going to places. It was a joy!

This then turn the page for another chapter of my life, full of challenges, drama and sacrifies. A class computer assignment programmer during highschool, then a school thesis programmer for students and professors as a sideline in college which then I was hired by the school CEO while I was taking my history class.

Software Design & Linux Involvement

During mid college years (late 2003), I got involved as a VP-Internal on a student IT group called ite@ch. It was a blast, because my part was not VP stuff, but I'm on the technical stuff like software design, art and multimedia, the things that I enjoyed most.

And later that year, I joined a web design comptetion, and won 2nd place. By the end of the year, we got financial problems, so I wasn't able to enroll.
