Highlights

  • Kamal has released 3.13.11-ckt33 stable
  • Kamal has released 4.2.8-ckt3 stable
  • Kamal has released 3.19.8-ckt14 stable
  • Colin pushed a new version of stress-ng to Debian and it was sync'd to Ubuntu Xenial.
    • Updates to stress-ng V0.05.12:
      • smarter CPU cache size detection and new cache stressor options --cache-level, --cache-ways, --cache-no-affinity (thanks to James Hunt, Intel)
      • CPU online/offline stressor
      • file-copy stressor (for the new file_copy_range() system call)
      • man page fixes


Devel Kernel Announcements

Our first v4.4 based kernel from last week has finally promoted to the release pocket in Xenial. Our Xenial master/master-next branch has since been re-based to the v4.4.1 kernel and recently uploaded. We appreciate any testing and feedback this v4.4 based kernel as it will be our target for 16.04!
