Welcome to the Wiki of the Ubuntu Kylin Desktop Project. The objective of the Ubuntu Kylin project is to create a variant of Ubuntu that is more suitable for Chinese users. We are committed to provide you with a delicate, thoughtful and fully customized Chinese user experience out-of-the-box. For instance, by providing a desktop user interface localized in Chinese and installing common software that Chinese users commonly use by default. Ubuntu Kylin is a formal member of the Ubuntu family, commencing with Ubuntu Kylin 13.04. Since then, we have released 8 versions including 2 LTS versions: 14.04 LTS and 16.04 LTS.

We work our best but there is still a long way to go. Don't be frustrated if you found Ubuntu Kylin broken in some way. Instead please learn how to report a bug and help us improve Ubuntu Kylin, that is how Open Source works and why Open Source exists. If you're not sure whether the problem you found is actually a bug, please ask in our user forum before reporting a bug, by avoiding reporting invalid bugs or duplicate bugs, you're saving developers' limited time. But if you're sure you found a bug, don't be shy to report it!
