Private Projects and Private Blueprints leave beta

As of the 4th of December, the Private Projects and Private Blueprints features in Launchpad leave their beta period, and are now stable. A commercial subscription is required to use these features, but anyone who creates a Private Project and/or a Private Blueprint will enter into a 30-day trial commercial subscription.

Jono Bacon: On Richard Stallman and Ubuntu

In response to Richard Stallman's concern about Ubuntu and its innovations, namely the shopping lens being “spyware” (see “In the Press” for Stallman’s article), Jono Bacon writes the following article where he articulates that Ubuntu is not spyware and shouldn’t be treated that way. Bacon, therefore, seeks to calm the situation with an explanation where he thinks Ubuntu is heading, why such innovations occur, and what these innovations bring to the project.

Jono Bacon: Improving Community ‘Getting Involved’ Documentation
