Introduction
Welcome to the Ubuntu California wiki!
Ubuntu California is a group of volunteers who advocate and promote Ubuntu and Free Software in California. The group is open to everybody in the state with an interest in spreading and discussing Ubuntu.

Ubuntu "Jaunty" 9.04 was announced April 23, 2009. Jaunty Release notes contain important information and should be read before upgrading or installing.
The Canonical press releases on the desktop, netbook & server versions have helpful Jaunty overviews. For higher level descriptions, the Canonical Tour of new features, technical overview, Ars Technica's Jaunty review and Tux Radar's Ubuntu History might be interesting.
Ubuntu distributes software created by X.org video and Linux wireless networking projects. Intel video driver users or developers may find this blog post helpful.
