Hello, I am Thet oo zin and I am from Yangon(Rangoon), Myanmar(Burma). I Love and attending Events in our country.

I am currently working as IT Specialist at one of The International Schools in our country. I have a strong interest in Information Technology. I love Ubuntu and other OSS, FLOSS, GNU, GPL, MIT, Apache etc.,

Currently I have Ubuntu 16.10 installed on my computer. In my job, I use Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS as Main Operating System and use Ubuntu Desktop 16.04 LTS in Virtualization for using Student Information System, Library System, OwnCloud, Khan Academy Lite, etc. We will use Linux in all computers of our school.

I learned Programming since 1995 and System Administration since 1997.

Programming

I learned BASIC, C, C++, Pascal, FoxPro, Assembly, Java, Visual Studio, Visual Studio .NET, Python, Ruby on Rails, PHP, MySQL, Microsoft SQL, Oracle Database, CMS (Joomla, WordPress,etc), Android, QT, etc. Now, I am learning R, Machine Learning and Big Data.

System Administration

I learned A+, Network+ and CCNA. I used the products of Microsoft since DOS 6.22. I can use DOS 6.22, Windows 3.11, Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 as Desktop version and Windows NT, 2000, 2003 as Server Version. Now, I am learning Cloud computing(OpenStack), etc.

Linux

I met kokoye2007, ChitKoKoWin, ethan on Raspberry Pi Event in 2013. Since 2013, I learned how to use Linux. I tried many Linux Distros and then used Ubuntu as my Linux Distro. Now, I am using Raspberry Pi 3 and Arduino to test some projects.

Member

• I am a Professional Member of Myanmar Computer Professionals Association(MCPA) since 2005.
• I got Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist(MCTS)(2008), Microsoft Certified Professional Developer(MCPD)(2008). So, I am a member of Microsoft Certified Professional(MCP) since 2008.

• I am a member of Ubuntu Myanmar LoCo Team since 2013. I am mainly helping out with the Facebook groups and Ubuntu Myanmar LoCo Team Events when I am free.
