* 01 April – Installfest/Linux Workshop

  • 1 Ubuntu install in Virtual Box
  • Conducted trouble shooting of LXC container with zone minder on test server
  • Configured printer for a guest
  • Assisted in the copy of data from 1 hard drive to another
  • Repaired the microphone and screen tearing and upgraded to new Kernel on a guest’s computer
  • Repaired Grep on a guest's laptop

* 02 April – AZLOCO weekly meeting chaired by Ron Ash

* 06 April - Tempe Ubuntu Hour hosted by Paul Kairis

  • 6 attendees
  • Discussed the Unity DE after the announcement that the Ubuntu 18.04 release will come with Gnome DE by default
  • Looked into ipv6 routing and segmenting for business networks
  • Attempted to configure a Zentyal server to bridge (br0) a static and wifi network
  • Updated the AZLOCO Facebook cover logo and link
  • Gave a brief introduction on the scala language to the new attendee

  • Configured an access point.
  • Conducted updating/training on Linux/Ubuntu operating system
  • Updated settings on an individual's server
  • Removed excess partitions and updated GRUB on an individual’s computer

  • 7 attendees
  • Final preparations for the information booth at the West End Fair were discussed.
  • Discussed the availability of install media for the up-coming installfest in July. Everything appears to be on hand for the installation of any flavor of Ubuntu or Linux Mint in both 32 and 64 bit which are probably the two easiest Linux distros for a newbie to handle.
