Ubuntu Women's Project - Website admins for the domain have been unresponsive, we have no access to the main site, Project leaders have gone missing as well, we want to move forward but make sure previous leaders/admins have had an opportunity to step down. Should we be considered a Loco Team? - This was largely handeled on feb. 13, but a few issues still remain. One other item we would like guidance on is our wiki - currently it is separate from the main wiki. We would like to see if we can have a bridge created between the two so that searches in the main wiki yield results from the UW wiki and vice versa. Can Elmo help us with this?

Locoteams

If you want to consider your team to be an Approved Team see LoCoGettingApproved and follow the instructions. If you get accepted for consideration, ensure you attend the meeting.

Previous meeting discussions and decisions

Dec 12

  • LeadershipCodeofConduct was approved - thanks Mako, Jono!

  • ForumsGovernance document was approved - thank you Ryan, Mako, jono and CC!

  • It was decided not to move off Freenode
  • Elections and confirmations for new CC members will happen in January
  • New position of CC Secretary, with Seveas as initial office bearer, approved

Jan 09

  • Delegating Membership is progressing, more council are expected to be set up soon.
  • Carlos will work on rounding up a team for being the rosetta point of contact for Ubuntu translations and will return for an ack.
  • The doc wiki will be licensed under CC-BY-SA, the main wiki will be revisited later.
  • Mike & Matthew were approved for the forums council.

  • kubuntu-de.net is on good route to become an official locoteam. They will try and cooperate with ubuntuusers.de and make Kubuntu rock in germany. Their request for a kubuntu-de maiilinglist was honoured and kubuntu-CC lists will also be available for kubuntu teams in other countries if they communicate well with the local Ubuntu team.
  • The canadian and Iranian team are welcomed as official locoteams.

Feb 13

  • Until launchpad sends out expiration emails, the CC secretary will take care of reminding people to renew Ubuntu membership. Members of teams that are member of the ubuntumembers team do not need to renew their membership, since they will still be members by inclusion.
  • The following people are nominated for positions on the community council. Voting starts on monday, feb 19 (if no technical issues delay this) and 3 out of these 5 people will join the community council. Colin Watson will step down from the council, making the number of council members six.
    • Daniel Holbach
    • Matthew East
    • Mike Basinger
    • Corey Burger
    • Jerome Gotangco
  • The members of the forums council pointed out that there may be conflicts of interest when Mike (who is also on the forums council) joins the community council. The current proposal to solve this, is that someone who is member of 2 councils cannot vot twice on the same matter and will have to recuse in the council that's higher up in the hierarchy. For example, Mike has to recuse on forums issues and Daniel will have to recuse on MOTU matters that are escalated to the community council.
  • Elizabeth Bevilacqua was added as administrator for the ubuntu-women team on launchpad to overcome the lack of administrators now that the current ones have not been around in a while. A mail was sent to the current administrators and if no reply to that mail is received within reasonable time, the sysadmins will take care of giving other members of the ubuntu-women team access to the ubuntu-women website.
  • The Venezuelan LoCoTeam is welcomed as official LoCoTeam

The following candidates were approved as members, welcome aboard!
