2012-05-03 Meeting (log):
- Kubuntu Council catch-up.
ScottKitterman and DavidWonderly briefed us about current considerations in the Kubuntu world. Jonathan and David are in discussions with Blue Systems and Canonical about the use of the trademark.
The discussion about trademarks hadn't been yet escalated to MarkShuttleworth, but he promised to close the loop.
- The CC thank the Kubuntu team for keeping everybody up to date and communicating clearly what is happening.
- The Technical Board catch-up was postponed to one of the next meetings.
- Code of Conduct review
Laura Czajkowski brought up feedback she had collected about the proposed CoC update.
- Only the issue regarding "Deciciveness has value in itself" was discussed.
Charles Profitt suggested an update.
MarkShuttleworth agreed to use it as a basis for a new revision.
- The CoC update is going to be discussed at UDS again.
- The discussion of the definition of support was postponed to one of the next meetings.
- Kubuntu Council catch-up.
2012-05-17 Meeting (log):
- Technical Board catch-up.
- mdz and cjwatson discussed how the board was getting on the issues they were encountering, administrative, unsure when meetings were taking place due to the multiple locations of the schedule. CC advised to use the fridge as the most up to date location.
- The next issue mdz brought up was a governance issue, the role of the chair, what role it had for tie-breaking decisions.

ACTION: mdz update the TB docs
- One issue the TB is having issue with right now is brainstorm, not
- CC thanked the TB for keeping them up to date and offered any help with fridge scheduling if needed
- Election and appointment of the 5th member of the IRCC
AlanBell gave noticed the IRCC were going to be filling the 5th seat soon and would be holding an election.

Forum Council
An update from the Forums Council for May of 2012
Archiving Forums. Threads that have no activity for >12 months, will be archived every 6 months (in sync with the release cycle)
New Theme. TechnoViking has been hard at work creating a new theme for the Forum. It now matches the branding on most of the other Ubuntu web sites
Wiki Teams. elfy , has been working with the wiki team to convert tutorials from the Tips and Tutorials sub-forum to wki pages.
General Messages. s.fox thanked all those that added their support to her application to the Ubuntu Membership Board.
- New Staff. We put off appointing any further staff until we discussed it amongst the staff a little more. We are trying to meet the Community Council guidelines, when it comes to appointing/electing new staff members.
- Application Development Forum. mhall119, answered all of the remaining question the Forum Council had, before the new sub-forum is opened.
New Members. We elected 3 new Forums ubuntu members, please welcome primefalcon, hakermania and sandyd.

The LTS release party is taking shape. It will take place in Beekbergen on 2 June.

Spamfilters have been finetuned and the new moderation dashboard of SMF 2 has been tested.

The main website has been moved from MoinMoin to Drupal.

May 5th : premier samedi du libre (PSL) in Paris. This is a multi-distribution small install fest where around 60 people come to get help configuring and installing their Linux system.
- May 5th : Ubuntu Party 12.04 in Paris – Organization meeting.
May 5th : Ubuntu Party in Orléans.
May 8th : atelier libre (PDF presentation) in Brignoles.
May 9th : soirée du libre spéciale Ubuntu 12.04 in Dijon.
May 12th and 13th : Ubuntu Party (warning : the link will soon be outdated) in Paris. Conferences, workshops, classes, demonstrations, installs. ≈ 120 benevolents, 2 000 visitors, report being written.
May 12th : Install Party in Dijon.
- May 12th : Ubuntu Party in Saint-Seurin-sur-l’Isle.
May 19th : Precise Party in Bordeaux.
May 20th : Ubuntu Hour in Paris. Organized in the local gracioulsy lent by LQDN, we were around 10 people. Theme : Chinese food.
May 25th, 26th and 27th : Papillons de nuit (P2N) music festival in Saint-Laurent-de-Cuves. The Papillons de nuit invited us for the second time to hold a webcafe on Ubuntu for the festival-goers. We didn't put any restriction, neither on which website were accessible, neither on Ubuntu, as we wanted people to discover it.
May 29th : Install Party Ubuntu in Schilitgheim.
May 31th : Ubuntu Party in Aix-en-Provence.
