      • (./) Karmic - DONE for ubuntu-docs [Adi]

Reporting

  • Add more information to the current raw data export: [Danilo]
    • number of strings that needs review and changed from upstream
    • date of last change done for a template for each language
    • date of last POFile for each langauge
    • priority value
    • if the template is exported or not in the language pack
    • create report for curent stable and dev release
    • No need to create a single report. We can collect the information from multiple files.
  • Finalize templates priority [Adi/David]
  • Define language tiers and process for promoting languages [David]

Launchpad developer community contributions

  • fix a bug / add a new feature (not something big) and then make a BIG announcement and encourage new developers. Let them know that this can be done ... and it is not that hard
    • UWN, Fridge, Full Circle Magazine, Ubuntu User - David to contact Amber on getting the word out
  • Idea: develop a simple "hello world" app, even a screencast people can start on
  • Install lp.dev and then add last-updated column into +templates page [Danilo/Adi]
    • Do a write up of how it went, and what it involved [Adi]

Kubuntu

  • QA'ing language packs:
    • Comparing imported language packs and exported language packs [Danilo/David]
    • This will reveal whether there are many translation teams differing from upstreams in terms of translated strings

UTC Team

  • Make a list of languages on the UTC wiki page with contact persons knowledgeable on the language, script, fonts. [Adi]
  • Announce this, this should be useful in assessing which languages can be supported from the community [David]
  • Provide a list of actions and processes to document. Some of them are: [David]
    • Document manual upload of translation templates with lp-translator-tools [Adi]
    • Document Language pack generation [David/Arne]
    • Document actions to perform during NonLanguagepackDeadline and LanguagepackDeadline [David]

    • Coordination with the release team on when translations are exported [David]
    • Document procedure for addition of new team members [David]
